How does a group move forward together?
An independent facilitator designs and runs the process for a group that has to plan, decide or align: who speaks, in what order, on what question, with what information. The group keeps all substantive decisions.

- Meetings keep becoming contests
- Public trust in a process matters as much as the outcome
≠It does not fit whenChoose another route
Use the least burdensome process that can do the job.
- When a binding decision on a contested right is required
- When participants have no authority to act on what they agree
