GLOBAL NEUTRALS / GLOBAL REGISTER

Verify professional standing.

The Global Register answers a narrow public question: does this practitioner have a current professional record with TheNeutrals.ORG, and what does that record show?

GLOBAL REGISTER OF CERTIFIED NEUTRALS

Public record. Clear status. No guesswork.

The Register is for verification. It is not a ranking, recommendation or substitute for appointment due diligence.

SEARCH Name or credential reference

Locate the public professional record directly.

CONFIRM Current standing

See whether the published professional record is current.

OPEN Professional profile

Move into the wider public professional identity where available.

SEARCH THE REGISTER

No matching public record appears in the current directory data.

No matching record, a non-current record and a technical search issue are different conditions and should never be treated as equivalent.

READ THE STATUS CAREFULLY

A status word should mean one thing.

The live Register should use a small, controlled vocabulary and explain it. Visitors should not have to interpret vague language such as listed, recognised, member or approved.

CURRENT Active public standing

The published professional record is current as of the date shown in the live Register.

NOT CURRENT A record exists but current standing is not confirmed

The Register should show the relevant status and date rather than leave the visitor to infer it.

NOT FOUND No matching public record located

This is not the same as a disciplinary finding or a statement about professional competence.

CHECK DATE Current means current as of a stated date

Professional standing is time-sensitive. The date belongs beside the status.

WHAT A PUBLIC RECORD SHOULD SHOW

Enough to verify the professional. Not the whole certification file.

The Register should publish only what helps the world identify the person, understand the professional standing and follow the correct verification route.

PUBLIC RECORD ANATOMY

Useful, proportionate and verifiable.

The public record should stay focused. Detailed assessment evidence and confidential certification materials belong elsewhere.

01 Professional identity

Name and the basic public information needed to identify the practitioner correctly.

02 Credential standing

The published professional status and the date to which that status relates.

03 Practice context

The Neutral roles in which the practitioner is publicly visible.

04 Sector and jurisdiction context

The professional setting around the public record where approved for publication.

05 Verification route

A direct path to the authoritative status check rather than a screenshot or self-issued claim.

06 Professional profile link

More public professional context without exposing private certification evidence.

PUBLIC AND PRIVATE

Verification does not require publishing the certification file.

A good public system makes standing visible while keeping assessment evidence, confidential documents and internal review material separate.

PUBLIC

Approved professional identity and standing.

Professional identity
Published credential status
Approved practice context
Approved sector and jurisdiction context
Verification and public profile routes

The public layer should help users verify and understand professional standing without exposing private evidence.

PRIVATE

Certification evidence stays behind the public record.

Application evidence
Confidential supporting documents
Internal assessment notes
Reviewer deliberations
Other non-public certification records

These materials do not become public simply because a professional standing is verified.

ONE CONNECTED PUBLIC SYSTEM

Register, Passport and verification have different jobs.

They should reinforce each other without becoming the same page three times.

01 / REGISTER The authoritative public record

Confirms whether the professional standing appears in the institution's current public Register.

02 / PASSPORT The portable professional identity

Brings approved professional standing and public context together in a useful identity layer.

03 / VERIFY The direct status check

Answers the specific question about current standing where the live verification layer is available.

04 / PROFILE The wider public professional record

Adds practice, sector, jurisdiction, qualifications, contribution and other approved professional information.

WHAT THE REGISTER DOES NOT TELL YOU

Verification is useful. It is not the whole appointment decision.

A current public record confirms professional standing. It does not by itself answer every question about suitability for a particular matter.

01 It does not rank practitioners

The Register should not imply that one current record is better than another.

02 It does not clear conflicts

Conflict and independence checks belong to the actual proposed appointment.

03 It does not confirm availability

A current record does not mean the professional can accept a particular matter now.

04 It does not define the mandate

The role, authority and scope still need to be agreed for the matter.

05 It does not replace professional judgment

Suitability still depends on the real work, context and appointment requirements.

CONTINUE

Use the Register for trust. Use the wider system for fit.

PROFESSIONAL DISCOVERY

The Global Register should be the authoritative public record of professional standing, not merely another way to browse profile cards.

Discovery pages can be broad and exploratory. The Register should remain precise about identity, credential status and the source of each public field.

IDENTITY
Right professional

Name and enough identifying professional context should make clear whose record the user is viewing.

STANDING
Current recognition

Credential level and current institutional status should be linked to the live verification system.

PRACTICE
Published Neutral roles

The Register should distinguish role-specific professional evidence rather than collapse everything into one generic neutral label.

CONTEXT
Sector + jurisdiction

Approved public fields should support discovery while remaining distinct from certification grade.

PROVENANCE
Institutional source

Users should be able to see which information belongs to the institutional record and which remains professional profile material.

PROFESSIONAL DISCOVERY

A global public register needs stronger data discipline than a marketing directory.

The record should remain understandable when professionals change jurisdiction, practice emphasis or public standing over time.

DISCOVERY PRINCIPLE

Treat the Register as institutional infrastructure.

The public record should be stable enough to cite, current enough to trust and restrained enough not to expose the certification file.

Every professional record should have a stable public identity and credential reference. A user returning months later should be able to locate the same person even if profile content has changed.

Current standing should remain live. Old certificates, screenshots or third-party biographies may circulate indefinitely, so the Register and Verify Credential pages should remain the institutional source for present status.

Practice fields should use controlled vocabulary. Mediation, Neutral Evaluation, Standing Neutral, Neutral Chairing, Expert Determination, facilitation, Ombuds and other roles should not be mixed casually if the institution expects users to search reliably.

Sector fields should be broad enough to support discovery and specific enough to be useful. They should not be treated as separate institutional certifications unless the institution has actually adopted that structure.

Jurisdiction data needs more than one concept. Primary location, professional qualification, working market and corridor experience can all matter. The Register should eventually expose these distinctions cleanly rather than force them into a single country field.

Language should be public where the professional has approved it and where it is useful to process participation. Fluency claims should remain the professional's evidence unless separately verified by the institution.

Publications, videos and professional contribution can deepen the profile without changing certification standing. These materials help users understand the person's professional thinking and experience after identity and standing have been established.

Annual Bench constitution can appear as a current positioning layer where relevant. It should be date-stamped and visually distinct from credential status so users do not confuse the annual category with permanent certification.

Inactive, expired, suspended, withdrawn or other statuses should appear only where formally defined by the governance framework. The Register should not invent public status language ad hoc.

Corrections need a controlled route. Professionals should be able to request factual updates, while changes to institutional standing should follow the appropriate certification or conduct process rather than ordinary profile editing.

Privacy matters too. The Register should publish enough information for professional discovery without exposing private contact details, assessment evidence, confidential matters or internal reviewer material.

The Register should also support deep linking from sector, practice, jurisdiction and situation pages so users reach the same canonical professional record rather than duplicated biographies across the website.

This is what gives the Register institutional weight: one public record that can support discovery, verification and professional identity while keeping certification and conduct systems properly separate.

PROFESSIONAL DISCOVERY

The Register should be broad enough to discover the profession and narrow enough to remain authoritative.

Public visibility should never be confused with a complete professional due-diligence file.

DISCOVERY CAN HELP WITH

A better professional shortlist.

  • Role-specific professional discovery.
  • Sector and jurisdiction context.
  • Public profile evidence.
  • Current credential verification.
  • A clearer route into live appointment review.
DISCOVERY DOES NOT DECIDE

The live appointment itself.

  • No automatic conflicts clearance.
  • No guarantee of availability.
  • No hidden ranking of professional quality.
  • No assumption that a profile tag proves every specialist skill.
  • No replacement for mandate, acceptance and matter-specific due diligence.
GLOBAL REGISTER

Professional standing should be easy to check and hard to misunderstand.

Search the public record, read the status with its date, open the professional profile where needed and use the wider appointment process for conflicts, suitability and mandate.
