Cases involved in Arbitration

Arbitration before China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) In July 2012, represented Shaanxi Energy Metal &Minerals Resources Co, Ltd, in the international arbitration dispute against PT. Shasikrana International before CIETAC on the cargo quality disputes which was carried by MV Pax Phoenix. The claim amount was about RMB21 million and the case is won and closed. In May 2012,representedShaanxi Energy Metal &Minerals Resources Co, Ltd, to claim against PT. Shasikrana International, before CIETAC. The dispute was mainly raised by the different nickel content of the nickel minerals carried by M/V EQUINOX GLORY. The claim amount was around RMB16 million. The case now is won and closed. In April 2011, acted on behalf of the Respondent RizhaoFarlandInternational Trade Co Ltd claimed against CNBM Group for international contract disputes which the 70000 ton coal carried on MV Ji Mei Long, and the case won.

Arbitration before Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (SCIA)

In March 2012, represented Wuxi Little Swan Company Limited in the arbitration claim against Corno Marco Italia S.P.A before SCIA about the dispute on international purchase contract on equipment. The claim amount is about EUR527,000.

Arbitration before China Maritime Arbitration Commission (CMAC)

In July 2012, represented the charterer to claim against the owner of \"M/V CANG HANG CANG HAI\" before CMAC on the charterer dispute caused by the owner’s failure to provide the vessel for loading during the scheduled laytime. The Arbitral Awardon 26 November 2012 successfully ordered the owner to return double deposit.

Arbitration before Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC)

In November 2010, represented Hongkong Huaxing International Shipping Co., Ltd., the charterer, to claim against Lamda Maritime Holding SP.Zo.o , the owner of M.V. NOS OCEAN STAR before HKIAC. The disputes concerned the charterers’ claim for loss and /or damage as a result of the owners’ failure to provide the vessel for loading. In November 2010, represented Jia Sheng Shipping Limited, the owners of MV “XIN YUAN CHAO”, to claim against Alpine International for the losses/damages resulted by its incorrect and delayed payment, and the tribunal fully supported the claimed amount. In May 2011, represented Bao Harvest Holding Limited, the charterer, in defending against the owner NCS Co., Limited in the matter of arbitration before HKIAC. The disputes arose following a failure to load a Cargo on board of the Vessel M.V.“PACIFIC IRMA” in Indonesia in October and November 2010. In January 2012, represented Shuntai Shipping (Hong Kong) Co. Ltd, owner of MV “SHUNTAI”, in defending against the charterer, SMY (HONG KONG) LIMITED in the claim before HKIAC.

Arbitration before Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC)

In 2014, represented Guangdong Yuntong Energy Co. Ltd, the buyer, to apply for arbitration before SIAC against China Coal Solution (Singapore) Pte.Ltd., the seller, on the payment dispute for the cargo.
