Mr Pratap Kishan graduated from the University of London with an LL.B (Honours) in 1996 and was admitted as a Barrister-at-Law of the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple in 1998. He was called to the Singapore Bar in August 1999 and he has been in active legal practice in Singapore since 1999 with various law firms before setting up
Mr. Pratap Kishan’s scope of legal practice has been very wide and across various areas of law, ranging from the simple contractual disputes to the complex commercial litigation matters. He also handles arbitration and dispute resolution too.
Mr. Pratap Kishan’s scope of legal practice has been very wide and across various areas of law covering areas involving civil and commercial disputes including cross-border issues. Mr Kishan is a strong believer in mediation as he advocates that the primary duty of a lawyer is to solve the disputes that would benefit both parties and he has been advocating this for many years.
Mr. Pratap Kishan is a volunteer lawyer with the Jamiyah Legal Clinic rendering legal advice to needy members of society. Mr. Pratap Kishan also volunteers with the Criminal Legal Aid Scheme with the Law Society of Singapore for the lesser privileged members of society for criminal cases and on the Assigned Defence Counsel list for capital (death penalty) cases in the High Court.
