Arnaud de Nanteuil is full professor at of public law at University of Paris Est Créteil (Paris 12), in France, where he teaches international law, international economic law, international investment law and international tax law. He has taught almost all the subjects of French public law, including French administrative law, constitutional law, and European law both in its institutional and substantial dimension. He also teaches or has taught at the Paris Bar School or Sciences Po Paris.
He is the co-director of the LLM in international business litigation at Paris 12 University. He has published more than 50 articles in the field of international law, but also several books such as his PhD thesis on indirect expropriation in international investment law (Pedone, 2014) and the only existing textbook exclusively devoted to investment law (Droit international de l’investissement, Pedone, 2014, 2nd ed. 2017). He received an award from the Académie des Sciences morales et politiques, which is part of the Institut de France for this book in 2015. He is also one of the authors of the innovative book “Landmark cases of international law” (Les Grandes decisions de la jurisprudence internationale) published in 2018 (Dalloz).
Pr. Arnaud de Nanteuil is also practitioner. He is in particular an expert for the Organisation internationale de la francophonie for mining, environment and human rights issues. He also serves as counsel in international arbitration mostly in investment cases. He has spent one year in the French Conseil d’Etat in the European law department and is a former intern from Shearman & Sterling LLP Paris office.
