I am the Executive Chairman of CBRE’s Project Management business, responsible for the corporate direction of our firm’s project management operations in Australia and New Zealand.
I lead a diligent team of project and development management experts who strive to deliver market leading services and ultimately tremendous value for our clients.
During my 34-year career in the project management sector, which included the establishment of an independent project and development management firm, Paragon Project Management, I have been responsible for the delivery of several major integrated construction projects, airport office park developments and airside airline projects.
I work throughout Australia and New Zealand advising clients on complex agreements for lease transactions and the structuring of legal and administrative property and construction frameworks to maximise opportunities and minimise risk in major integrated construction projects across commercial, residential and mixed use development.
If you are looking for a project or development management specialist, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Ian commenced his professional/commercial career with a major building contractor in 1980 where he was responsible for the successful delivery of major hospitality, retail, aged care and commercial projects, and further on responsible for the delivery of major integrated construction projects, airport office park developments and airline projects. Following this success, Ian took up an opportunity to create an independent project and development management firm - Paragon Project Management and ran it for 22 years as Chairman and Managing Director, which was acquired by CBRE in 2014.
Ian has been directly accountable to his key clients for some of Australia’s most significant integrated construction projects. His accountability, knowledge and expertise have encouraged his clients to continue to return with their next project. This is a key measure of the success of the business and the value delivered for his clients. Ian is a hands-on executive, and now leads a diligent team of property experts across the Pacific, who strive to deliver market leading services and ultimately tremendous value for clients.
Ian has a particular expertise in advising clients on complex residential, commercial projects, Agreement-for-Lease transactions and the structuring of legal and administrative frameworks to maximise opportunities and minimise risk in major integrated construction projects across commercial, residential and mix use development.
Ian has been appointed on some of Australia’s largest property projects in the capacity of Board Advisor and chairing monthly PCG meetings and also in the role as ultimate Project Director fully responsible for the successful delivery of these major, multimillion-dollar construction projects.
As Managing Director, Ian is now responsible for the corporate direction of CBRE Project Management across the Pacific and will continue to oversee CBRE’s growth into the leading national project and development management services firm, with offices throughout Australia and New Zealand.
