Axel Heck’s early legal experience included a clerkship with the Directorate General for Competition of the EU Commission, Brussels, and service as a member of Donovan Leisure Newton & Irvine, New York City. He specializes in complex transnational transactions and corporate practice, international private dispute resolution and its alternatives, strategic legal counseling and crisis management, and has served as legal expert in post 2008 financial fraud cases launched in the NY Supreme Court by German banking plaintiffs.
Axel Heck is a member of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), of the Arbitration Commission of the International Chamber of Commerce, Paris, of the International Panel of the International Dispute Resolution Center of the American Arbitration Association, New York City and Dublin, of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Center and serves as Chair of the International Section of the Indian National Bar Association. He is a frequent speaker on international topics at legal conferences around the world as well as an author of articles on international dispute resolution topics cited before and by the U.S. Supreme Court and the Hague Conference on Private International Law. His working languages are: English, French and German.
